Real Madrid are refusing to give up hope of signing Kaka, according to Ramon Calderon.
Calderon targeted the acquisition of Kaka during his recent election campaign and remains hopeful of bringing him to Real Madrid.
"It's true that when I put myself forward as a candidate I had this objective, and both Capello and Mijatovic have said to me that he would be a good buy," Calderon told Real's official website, www.realmadrid.com.
"Mijatovic also told me that he had confidence that he would come, and I keep hoping that will be the case.
"It's one thing to talk about it and another to make it real, but I think it's possible.
"I will always agree with whatever decisions they [Capello and Mijatovic] make, with regard to the need for or benefits of this or other players.
"In this sense, I hope that we can give our fans something to smile about."
