It is an important victory - Kaka
Friday, November 02, 2007
Kaka was delighted with the 5-0 thrashing of Sampdoria last night and hopes for a similar performance against Torino at the weekend.
The Rossoneri came into the clash at the Luigi Ferraris having lost two games on the bounce in Serie A. After a scoreless first half Kaka broke the deadlock on 47 minutes, before Alberto Gilardino (2), Yoann Gourcuff and Clarence Seedorf completed the rout.
"Tonight's victory was important, it was needed for the team's morale,” said Kaka.
“Now we only have to find back the continuity we've been missing until now, let's hope we find it Saturday night in the game against Torino.
“In the first half they man-marked me and I did not have much space, then I talked about it with the coach and in the second half I withdrew a little more to have more space and play better.”
Kaka also praised the Milan supporters who cheered on their team throughout the game.
“It gave me pleasure to hear the support of the fans,” added the 25-year-old.
“When I hear the chant dedicated to me I get goosebumps. For us their support is really important, I hope they keep making themselves heard.”
