Monday, November 26, 2007
AC Milan midfielder Kaka has been awarded the 2007 Ballon D'Or, the former European Footballer of the Year award now extended to players in other countries around the world, said Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera on Saturday.
The report released that the Ballon D'Or jury had told the 25-year-old Brazilian to prepare for the awards ceremony on Dec. 2.
Kaka, who joined Milan from Brazilian club Sao Paulo in 2003, has collected two awards as UEFA's Club Footballer of the Year and Best Forward for last season in August.
He scored 10 goals on Milan's way to last season's Champions League final against Liverpool in Athens.
