I want to captain Milan - Kaka
Wednesday, December 05, 2007
Golden Ball winner Kaka has offered words of succour to Golden Ball runners-up Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
"I have to thank my coach, who has always given me confidence, always played me, even in difficult times over these four years," said Kaka.
"I want to become captain of this team and the best person to learn from is Paolo Maldini," he noted.
"I have a very nice relationship with my team-mates and club," added the Brazilian midfielder. "I don't have to change team."
"The difference with Messi is that he has not won an important title this season," noted Kaka.
"He didn't win the Spanish Liga nor the Champions League and that I think was a disadvantage for him.
"Cristiano Ronaldo? He has such speed and power, while Messi has skill and the control of the ball. They are young and very talented, and I respect them both."
