Shev no, Kaka stays
Saturday, August 02, 2008

Milan vice president, Adriano Galliani, has ruled out a move for Shevchenko and he insists Kaka will stay at the club.

A number of reports have recently claimed that Shevchenko was close to moving back to the side where he made his name.

The Ukrainian international was seen with the Rossoneri on Friday night following the Russian Railways tournament and this led to speculation that he was on the verge of rejoining his old side.

However, Galliani insists that no such move will take place and he seems happy with the side he has at his disposal.

"In Europe, the prices for players are impossible," said Galliani at the unveiling of Milan's new partnership with Audi.

"It's right for us to have the right mix of players such as well established ones like Ronaldinho and young players like Cardaccio and Viudez.

"As for Shevchenko and Kaka? Those players are under contract with their clubs and they will not leave.

"Neither player will leave Milan or Chelsea and there is no point in disturbing them."

Chelsea were keen on Kaka but Milan are not looking to sell him at any price and it is highly unlikely he will leave following Galliani's latest grumble.
