Kaka and Luis Fabiano believe Ronaldo could be an impact at next summer's World Cup for Brazil in South Africa if the striker can work his way back to form.
Ronaldo, a World Cup winner with Brazil as a youth in 1994 and then a hero in the 2002 tournament has scored 62 goals from 97 appearances for the national team and both Kaka and the Selecao's current number nine Fabiano would welcome a return from the goalscoring machine.
"Ronaldo is a good player, of that there is no doubt," Kaka told Radio Jovem Pan.
"He said himself recently that he did not feel ready to return to the selection but if he is fit, fit and motivated, all he can do is keep playing well and making his case.
Kaka added: "He would be a welcome selection for me."
Ronaldo, who scored over 400 goals from just under 600 appearances for both club and country, currently plays for Brazilian side Corinthians and has scored 12 goals from 20 games this season. He is now out hurt.
